dLive Director V2.00 from Allen & Heath is a professional-grade multi-platform editor and control application designed for the dLive digital mixing ecosystem, enabling engineers to prepare, manage, and operate complex live-sound environments from Windows, macOS, or Linux computers as well as touch-enabled tablets. The program supports full offline configuration of console parameters, allowing complete show files—including routing, processing, scenes, and user permissions—to be built in advance without requiring physical hardware, then transferred to the surface via USB or network. Once on site, the same session can be opened to supervise or modify incoming show files provided by guest engineers, streamlining changeovers at festivals, houses of worship, theatres, and corporate events. During performance, the software delivers real-time remote control of every dLive mix function through a low-latency Ethernet connection, giving FOH, monitors, or broadcast positions the freedom to mix away from the physical surface while retaining full DSP access. The interface is optimized for both mouse and multitouch operation: resizable fader banks adapt automatically to screen resolution, and an optional Touchscreen view replicates the exact layout of the dLive control surface so that visiting operators experience zero learning curve. Typical deployments range from pre-show virtual soundchecks and system commissioning to redundant control redundancy and broadcast mixing, all within a single cohesive workflow. The current public release is V2.00, representing the first generally available edition under this versioning scheme. dLive Director is available for free on get.nero.com, with downloads served through trusted Windows package sources such as winget, always delivering the latest build and supporting batch installation alongside other applications.
